Sarah Jacobs joined the Ruben Law Firm staff, in the Spring of 2021. Based on Sarah’s experience in the family law field, she has had the opportunity to handle a wide range of cases across all areas of family law, including custody, child support, divorce, modifications, adoptions, guardianships, and more. Sarah is based out of our Westminster location, but is able to help clients throughout Maryland.
Sarah strives to be upfront with her clients. She wants them to be comfortable with her, even during a consultation. She wants them to know that she hears them, but that she is also going to tell them what she thinks can happen. Sarah approaches all cases with the mindset that they are going to litigate, but she also recognizes that settling is sometimes the better option.
Sarah has been known to be fair and honest when it comes to preparing a client for Court or for other aspects of the case. She is not the pushy type, but she is the assertive type, and she will explain the good, the bad, and the ugly. Sarah helps clients who need guidance, but also someone to help with the emotional aspects of their situation. She is compassionate but firm as well.
As an attorney, Sarah feels that attorneys are there to help clients make rational decisions and to take the litigation or legal stress off their shoulders. She wants her clients to feel at ease when going through a difficult situation.
