Kelly was born in Memphis, Tennessee while her father finished his Ph.D. Her family moved to Howard County, Maryland when she was a toddler and except for college and law school, Howard County has been her home. After earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Lipscomb University in Nashville, she came back home where she worked for 1 1/2 years for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms before going to law school. In 1997, she graduated from Thomas Cooley Law School, which is now Western Michigan University, and returned to Maryland for a final time and joined her Mother's law practice. Kelly has over 25 years of legal experience and thrives in the fast paced practice of family law. Kelly also has experience in criminal, step-parent adoption, and juvenile matters.
Kelly's main focus is guiding my clients to a fair and equitable resolution of their divorce or custody case. Kelly tries to use my empathy and compassion as the driving force behind all my legal work when representing my clients.
Kelly believes that being a good listener is one of the most important parts of practicing law. Kelly works hard to earn and maintain a client's trust. Trying to navigate a contentious divorce takes patience and understanding.
Kelly is married with three college aged children and three fur babies, so her and her husband will never be empty nesters! She enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with family.
