Temporary Protective Orders in Maryland

Maryland law allows a judge to enter a temporary protective order to protect a person from immediate abuse. However, it is not meant to be a permanent fix. The protective order is only effective for a maximum of seven days. It can be extended by the Maryland judge as needed, but not for a period exceeding six months. Spousal Privilege in Maryland

If your husband or wife has been charged with a crime in Maryland, you may not be required to testify against him or her. Two types of spousal privilege exist in Maryland. Today I received a phone call on my cell phone from a divorce client.  He didn't have any emergency, he just had a simple question that he needed answered.   When he called, I was at Bass Pro Shops with my son just spending some quality time together.
